Ruler
FreeAmminus (Adminius) · c. AD 30–40
A ruler in Kent in the last years before the Roman conquest, known from coins reading AMMINVS or AM. He is almost certainly Adminius, the son of Cunobelin whom the Roman writer Suetonius says was banished by his father and went over to the emperor Caligula with a small band of followers in about AD 40. Caligula treated the surrender as a conquest of Britain. Coin finds suggest Adminius governed east Kent under his father before his fall.,,,
